About Christchurch Castle
Christchurch Castle stands on Castle Street in the middle of the town, the ruins of a Norman motte-and-bailey with the twelfth-century Constable's House beside the mill stream below it. The site is cared for by English Heritage, is open to walk around, and sits within a few minutes of the Priory and the quay.
