What we publish
Guides must answer a local question and use named sources. We do not invent quotes, visits or first-hand experience.
Authorship and checks
Editorial pages name their author. Facts that can change are checked against primary sources where possible and include a publication date.
Advertising
Advertisers cannot buy a positive review or an unpaid ranking. Sponsored placements and affiliate links are labelled. Sandbanks Digital clients are subject to the same rules as other businesses.
The home page opens with a strip of three featured listings. The first is Sandbanks Digital’s own listing. It is pinned there because Sandbanks Digital runs this directory, not because anything judged it the best of its kind, and the card says “Featured” rather than a label that would suggest either. The other two carry paid listings, labelled “Sponsored”, and when no paid listing is waiting for a slot it carries an unpaid editor’s pick, which says “Featured” for the same reason. The note under the strip says which slot is which. Nothing in the strip is repeated in the ordinary results below it, and no placement changes them. Advertising on BCP Directory sets out each slot.
Corrections
We correct material errors and keep an internal record of significant changes. Anyone can use the correction form on a listing or contact the editorial team.
Automation
Software can format data, flag duplicates and find missing fields. People decide what gets published and handle disputed corrections and review moderation.
