About Hengistbury Head
Hengistbury Head is a headland between Christchurch Harbour and the sea, a Site of Special Scientific Interest with heath, woodland and shoreline walks. Staff and volunteers at the visitor centre help visitors plan a route, and the land train gives gentle and easy access along the spit to Mudeford Sandbank, where there is a cafe at the end of the walk.
